Coffee Market Report

The January 2019 to December 2018 contracts arbitrage between the London and New York markets narrowed, to register this at 34.66 usc/Lb., while this equates to 32.51% price discount for the London Robusta coffee market.

The Certified washed Arabica coffee stocks held against the New York exchange were seen to increase by 10,615 bags on 3rd October, to register these stocks at 2,402,735 bags. There was an increase by 4,630 bags to the number of bags pending grading for this exchange; to register these pending grading stocks at 64,494 bags.

The Reuters Equal Weight Continuous Commodity Index that is made up from 17 markets set the close marginally lower; to see this index settle at 414.74 on the day.
