From our main Johannesburg office, the company deals directly with coffee farmers, coffee co-operatives, coffee mills and coffee exporters in Central America, South America, Africa and Asia to source coffees for our Southern African, North American, European, Japanese and Australasian clients. We likewise deal directly with tea estates in Africa, Asia and South America, to source teas for our clients within Southern Africa, North America, Europe, Japan and Australasia.

The company started trading in 1915 and has over the many years of trading, built up a strong relationship with producers and exporters world wide, while earning the respect of its global tea and coffee clients. This respect comes not only from the companies skills in quality control of coffees and teas to suit the individual clients needs and to likewise give guidance to its suppliers on the qualities required to suit our clients needs, but also from our constant and regular feedback to our suppliers and customers on prevailing coffee and tea market information and trends.

In addition to the world wide trade in green coffee and black and green teas, we export from South Africa Rooibos and Honeybush to clients world wide.

The company also trades in bulk and contract packed soluble coffees, soluble teas and soluble Rooibos, for clients within Southern Africa and internationally. Aside from the trade in conventional coffees and teas, the company has followed the recent world trend towards sustainability certification and is accredited with Fair Trade, ECOCERT Organic (www.ecocert.com), Utz Certified and Rainforest Alliance for trade in Coffee, Tea, Rooibos and Honeybush and with the 4 C Association, which is specifically related to only coffee.

These developments in certification allow us to supply sustainable Coffees, Teas and Rooibos to our certified clients, while at the same time to give our clients and suppliers in general, guidance towards becoming certified producers, roasters and packers of Coffees, Teas, Rooibos and Honeybush.

The company has particularly close links to Coffee and Tea producers throughout Africa and a long experience and ability to manage both the qualities and logistics of African supply. Thus with such historical expertise, the company has an emphasis in supply to our international clients of regular and sustainability certified African Coffees and Teas. This along with our exports of domestically produced herbal infusions, Rooibos and Honeybush.
